Help CHCV win $10,000 from the Red Sox Foundation
August 1 2019 update - We just heard we won.
The Red Sox Foundation wrote “After receiving a total of 488,997 votes in New England of which 132,599 votes received for Vermont, we are pleased to announce the results for the 2019 Red Sox Foundation IMPACT Awards…
1st Place: Community Harvest of Central Vermont (total 63,078 votes up 108% from last week)
2nd Place: Southern Vermont Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. (total 51,185 votes)
3rd Place: Girls on the Run Vermont, Inc. (total 11,089 votes)
We are one of the five Vermont finalists eligible to win their $10,000 IMPACT Award grant this year! The organization with the most online votes will win a $10,000 grant! Runners up will get $3,000 and $2,000.
Everyone can vote as many times as you want!
It is very easy to vote, it will take you just a moment to vote once and you don't need to provide any personal info. Please show your support of gleaning by voting for CHCV at www.redsox.com/IMPACT.
Voting goes through Sunday July 28th. We will get updates on our current standing each week and we will post here.
Thanks so much for all your votes…keep it up through July 28th. Winning $10,000 would have such a huge impact on the gleaning work we do and would help us provide 9,000 people in Central Vermont with nutritious produce they would not otherwise have access to.
More about the Foundation:
The Red Sox Foundation's IMPACT Awards provide Red Sox fans in the five New England states surrounding Massachusetts with the opportunity to vote for their favorite local non-profits to decide which organizations will be awarded grants.
This year's theme for the IMPACT Awards is focused on organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to improving health and wellness outcomes in their community.
The foundation will donate a total of $75,000. Voting will help determine a first, second, and third place winner in each of the five states. First place winners will receive a $10,000 award and check presentation during a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park on September 5, tickets to a game, and recognition on the team and Foundation websites. Charities with the second- and third-most votes will receive grants of $3,000 and $2,000 respectively, along with additional benefits.
